Introductory Talk

First stop is a quick history talk about the extraordinary way in which the horse named Norseman first discovered Gold in Norseman.

Aboriginal Reserve and Ngadju Burial Grounds

We then set off to Cave Hill and on the way visit the old Aboriginal reserve and the ancient Ngadju burial grounds and hear about the unique burial customs of the Ngadju people.

Water Trees

Then onto a Ngadju water tree to learn about how these were made and used, about 70km north of Norseman

Morning tea at Yuntal Rockhole

Morning tea will be at Yuntal Rockhole where you’ll learn about the Ngadju people’s traditional highways.

Cave Hill

Heading north-north-west, we go to Cave Hill 150km from Norseman. Visiting the massive cave and see the rock art at Cave Hill, we will then enjoy a BBQ lunch and spend time exploring the caves and waterholes.

Back to Norseman

We will leave Cave Hill to travel back to Norseman, arriving back by 5pm

The trip is around 150km each way with some unsealed roads. 4×4 preferred but not essential. People without vehicles can travel with James.
